Family Owned & Operated, We Take Pride in Serving Our Neighbors with Trust and Giving Back to Our Community
Born and bred in Newark, Delaware, Ferris Home Improvements owner, Walter “Reds” Ferris, is a proud alumnus of Newark High School (and its various athletic programs), who firmly believes in supporting the community in which he lives and works. He and his wife are active in the community, their local Civic Association, and church, so Ferris feels it’s “natural” to drive a company with similar supportive interests: “It’s natural for us to give back to the neighborhood because it’s in line with our company’s focus – our customers. Repairing, renovating, and improving the value of your property not only makes your home a better place to live, but it also makes our community a better place to live and raise a family, which is what all of us want.”
Ferris Home Improvements regularly sponsors local sports teams, donates funds to programs designed to improve the community, donates maintenance services to the elderly in need, and supports local food and gift drives during the holidays. Check out some of our latest community accomplishments below in FHI in the News, or read more below in Nominate a Cause if you would like to nominate a deserving person or group in the New Castle County area for FHI support.
